Contacts

This is a private reference site, not a Calvert County government office. We cannot confirm custody, release an inmate, post bond, schedule a visit, pull an official booking record, or change a court case. Use the official offices below for those tasks.

Where to Start

Calvert County has no regular public browser roster on the county website pages reviewed for this project. The sheriff app advertises inmate search, and the jail phone line, Maryland VINE, PIA requests, courts, DPSCS, BOP, and ICE cover different record situations.

  • For someone held in the county jail, begin with jail inmate records, the Calvert County Sheriff's Office app, or the detention center at 410-535-4300.
  • For a booking photograph or mugshot request, review jail roster mugshots and use the Calvert PIA process if the photo is not available through an official app or office.
  • For charges filed after an arrest, use court records after a jail arrest and Maryland Judiciary Case Search for Calvert District Court and Circuit Court cases.
  • For a specific local facility, use the pages for the Calvert County Detention Center and Calvert County Work Release Building.
  • For county records that are not online, use the Calvert County Public Information Act process. Maryland General Provisions sections 4-103 and 4-201 frame public access to government-affairs records and custodian inspection duties, subject to legal exceptions.
  • For a sentenced state prisoner, use the Maryland DPSCS Incarcerated Individual Locator. It covers people committed to the Commissioner of Correction and currently housed in covered DPSCS facilities, not every county jail inmate.
  • For custody-status notifications, Maryland VINE is available online and by phone at 1-866-634-8463, with TTY at 1-866-847-1298.
  • For federal custody, search the Federal Bureau of Prisons inmate locator and understand that U.S. Marshals custody can involve local jail housing before sentencing.
  • For immigration custody, use ICE's Online Detainee Locator for people currently in ICE custody or in CBP custody for more than 48 hours.
  • For app-based sheriff tools, the official Calvert County Sheriff's Office app is published by OCV, LLC and advertises inmate search, visitation, bail, commissary, Most Wanted, sex-offender search, alerts, and tip features. It is not for emergencies.
